In the vast landscape of Texas music, no one really compares to Aaron Stephens - a hauntingly soulful songwriter hailing from the Rio Grande Valley who burst onto the scene with his 2014 debut release, "Hard Times, Straight Lines".
Soul? Roots? Blues? Stephens works comfortably within each genre's realm, delivering authenticity in both his vocals and songwriting.
Aaron soon found himself on Ray Wylie Hubbard's 'Roots and Branches' radio broadcast, a weekly program on vaunted Americana station KNBT, tabbed to perform the same night as local heavyhitters Shinyribs and Cody Canada.
